It's November, the beginning of the holiday season! This time of year is full of all things Christmas, thankfulness, anticipation of the best holidays of the year, and, most importantly, decorating!! There is nothing quite like breaking out the Christmas tree, wreaths, mantle pieces & all the green and red you can find, and perfectly placing them all over the house while listening to your favorite holiday playlist (Mariah Carey Christmas, of course).
As a child, it meant fighting with my brother about who was going to put the angel on the top of the tree, reminiscing about each particular ornament and the sentimental value behind them, hating staying up late to attend midnight Mass but ultimately being in Awe after the service was over, and racing to the cabinet everyday to eat the chocolate from the advent calendar my grandmother sent us every year.
Now, as an adult I take much more appreciation into the holiday season. I'm a pretty joyful person most days, but I'm extremely happy every single day during this season. The smells, the music, the sound of my child's footsteps running around the tree as I yell it him not to tear off the breakable ornaments. The moments where I watch the same movies every year and cry because they still get to me. The times we take our trip down to see family and play dirty santa and drink wine and catch up about our year because we all live too far apart.
Decorating for Christmas is by far something I look forward to every single year, and when it's time to put the Christmas tree away, you bet I am counting down the days I will see it again.
Now, maybe you're thinking, I love this season, too, and having that perfectly decorated house sounds like exactly what I want, but I am just not very design-savvy. In fact, maybe just breaking out the decorations stresses you out. Don't worry, this is where I come in. As a wedding coordinator, I not only ensure each wedding is executed flawlessly, I also help bring each bride's dreams to life. They tell me their ideas & visions, and I put my design skills to work. It's all in the details. But weddings aren't the only things I enjoy designing. Whether you have a vision for chic & elegant or playful & fun, I can bring your dream Christmas home to life so you don't have to lift a finger or stress one bit this holiday season. You can enjoy the little things that make this season so sweet and cheerful.
